Note that .avi files, as with image files, depending upon size can be slow loading. However, once in your browser cache they load in seconds.
How to play an (.avi) video . . . "left" click on the video link, a white screen will appear during the loading process, when loaded, "right" click on the black icon, then "left" click on the "Play" menu item.
The .mpg file, depending upon size can also be slow loading. Based upon your computer/browser configuration, a "left" click on the .mpg link will present a menu, offering "Saving to Your Computer", or "Open" for viewing.

You may be asked "Save to Disk", or "Open It", to view it, just click "Open".
"ActiveMovie" plugin by Microsoft required, and is very versatile. When playing "left" click the upper left icon for a menu. You can "Maximize" to full screen. "Right" click on the main picture body, then "left" click on "Properties, producing a menu for "Auto Repeat", "Volume", and more.
