Virtual Reality Modeling Language

The Virtual Reality Modeling Language is a standard language for describing interactive 3-D objects and worlds delivered across the Internet, or more accurately stated is: A new frontier in Internet technology. It closely relates to how games and other interactive software is designed. As of yet it is certainly not a unversal thing. But as it is further developed, it no doubt will be a valuable resource. It is not easy to design and indeed requires a truly dedicated effort to begin to understand. But once designed, the user can simply use the controls . . . if you have the right browser and plugins. Netscape Communictor version 4.05 (don't confuse with 4.5) downloaded with all the "plugins" requires no further configuration. The later Communicator versions will only work if they are installed over version 4.05 or have the plugin installed separately. Click the "plugin button" just below to obtain needed plugins from Netscape.

Internet Explorer 4 needs still more Microsoft plugins. And it should be noted there are several VRML versions, all with their own peculiarities. Internet Explorer version 5.x handles VRML nicely.
