For a company, your visitors initially are only interested in who you are, and what are your products and services. This main page should clearly state
WHO your company is, WHAT you do, and WHERE you are located. If you specilaize, your specialty should be plainly listed and easy to access, example, a text link immediately below this message.
For an individual's web site, this is where we can quickly learn more about you and what your interests are. Keep in mind these interests will be what people will use to determine whether they want to stay at your site or not. So be specific!
Use thought when placing links (going off your site) on this page. After all, you've worked hard to get people here, don't let them get away!
The graphic names on the left are all clickable links. The more graphics on any page, the slower it will load into any given computer. If your pages load too slowly, many visitors will not wait, with a click of the mouse they can be gone. Thus graphics should be used modestly, and only for important emphasis, rather than just being flashy.
